A Coaching Focus on Concussions

Whenever I have the opportunity, I accept speaking engagements for events that local coaches are likely to attend. This is a chance to talk about concussions, and, from my experience, including the coach in that discussion makes him or her understand the fundamental importance of proper recognition and management of this injury. It seems to have a big effect on the coaches and is another way to try to help make sure that the athlete gets the best care.
