Clinical Focus

The Clinical Focus section of The Physician and Sportsmedicine formally titled Symposium focuses on a single topic and pulls together a compilation of articles that take an explorative approach to examining a specific clinical subject through a collective approach. This section encompasses original research, review articles and case studies. Clinical Focus takes into account reviews from previously published works that captures the essence of the latest clinical trials, and at the same time, discuss new advances and treatment options. We encourage submissions from all interested parties who are involved in research on the subject matter being explored in a particular issue. The submission deadline for each Clinical Focus follows the normal projected print publication dates for 2009-2010. Manuscripts not selected for inclusion in a targeted Clinical Focus will be considered for publication in another section of The Physician and Sportsmedicine or in a future issue. Authors of articles published in this special section will receive all the benefits associated with publication in The Physician and Sportsmedicine:
  • Indexing in MEDLINE, EMBASE, and every other major indexing service
  • Expert editorial assistance
  • Online publication in advance of print publication
  • Reprints available 1 to 2 weeks after online publication
