A Well-Dressed Mountain Biker
Though in-line skaters and hockey players wear protective gear, mountain bikers wear only a helmet. As a mountain biker, I suggest that patients wear elbow guards, shin guards, and knee guards in addition to the helmet during mountain biking. I wear them, and they do not impair my range of movement. Wearing protective gear has definitely saved me some scars.
